Hi, I'm Marisa Santoro and I've been in your shoes

I'm a former IT executive and grew a 21-year career walking up and down trading floors in the Wall Street arena. Then over a decade ago I  found myself on a new path, followed my gut and transitioned from girl geek to becoming a career coach, author, corporate leadership trainer and TED speaker. I'm also the CEO and founder of the gutsy career platform, In Our Shoes and school, Gutsy Leadership Academy.

Today we know a lot about what makes people successful. 99% of failures come from people who have a habit of making excuses for why they can't achieve the things they want. 

What I've found missing as a lifelong learner, is that acquiring knowledge is great but taking action is better. You can read and learn all the books that bring you joy but unless you have a plan and take consistent action, all of that learning becomes "shelf-help".
