Taking 100% responsibility for your life is fundamental to creating a successful life. It is designed to get you out of blaming and complaining and into consciously creating the life you desire. This can only happen if you are willing to take 100% responsibility for your results. It is essential to master this principle because everything that follows is based on this approach - intentionally creating what you want, and becoming solution-oriented in spite of the events, circumstances and situations seemingly happening to you.

I've applied this principle of taking 100% responsibility as a parent, partner, coach, daughter, you name it. Once you start going through the assignments of this module and write down ways in which you have the power to change your results, your life begins to work better. You give yourself the freedom to decide what happens next. Let me repeat that. You have the power to create  a new and different outcome in any area of your life by changing, tweaking and re-calibrating the things that are not working. This brings so much structure to your life and high-vibrating energy to your relationships, and to your environment, that you begin to attract the things you want given that new found clarity. You are no longer blaming this person or that something, but instead holding yourself responsible and acting as if you were the cause of these things.

When you act AS-IF, your brain comes up with creative solutions to try to solve the problem. It must, that's how we are wired. Your brain is a goal-seeking organism. It also allows you to focus on the things that matter in your life (or you would not have felt they need to be tweaked) which again causes your brain to laser-in on not just the solution but all of the other things that are related which will further your success. You get what you focus on.

Be good to yourself when you go through these exercises. I have my responses taped up on  my wall and I often will scan through them in the morning to ensure the areas I am taking responsibility for, are addressed. Is every day going to be perfect? Not always! 🙂  That's why you are only committing to small ways in which you will act AS-IF  (that 5%) so that you can rest easy knowing, the goals you have set for yourself are on their way. Why? Because you have made the commitment to yourself. Nothing happens without the commitment.
