As a society, we place more emphasis on speaking versus listening which is often perceived to be passive. However, people who have effective listening skills, can circle back around once they have had time to process and then speak. They also have a strong internal dialogue and may need to validate what they heard before they speak. These are all qualities of being a good listener (and successful leader), but not often talked about.
If you consider yourself more of a listener in your career (and life), we invite you to watch this 6-minute video and learn how it is working for you, in your career and as equally effective as speaking.
