Inspiring Evening in London for Smart Ambitious Women: November 8 @ 6pm – RSVP!

Next month your trusted Shoe Hostess is landing in London once again, inspired by the IOS community grown across the Atlantic in the UK. I threw an idea against the wall this week as I would be in London for over a week, with much free time in the evenings. I reached out to see if any women in the city would like to join me for an inspirational meet and greet discussing our expertise, but more importantly our challenges and what we need to move forward in our careers. 24 hours later, my inbox was filled with over half a dozen RSVP’s from women in London who wrote: ‘Wow’ ‘How exciting!’ ‘Can’t wait!’ and ‘Thank you for leading this!’  Which in turn got me really excited, wow-ed and fueled to meet new professional women while traveling solo in your wonderful city.

I would love to finally meet all of you in person next month and ask if you would like to join us on:

Thursday November 8 @ 6pm in London, bringing like-minded inspirational women together over wine and great conversation. RSVP:

Venue to be determined, I am scouting for a quiet space to reserve in central London which will secure us a nominal rate pp. Ideally a space with round little tables would be wonderful, wish me luck!

So what are we going to talk about?

We will go around our circles and give each attendee the opportunity to share: their business expertise, their challenges and what support they need in order to advance to the next level in their career. This will be an official stepping out event where attendees can get comfortable with raising their hand, asking for support in their careers. Creating communion between women, this Sole Circles event is meant for us to share our tactical solutions on how we’ve discovered opportunities in our career.

It’s really all about the gutsy moves.

Dear readers, I would like to share that my invite could have just as easily fell flat with not one response, having no one or “people” as I have in NY  to call on there to help me get this off the ground. Still this would not have prevented me from reaching out another way again. I’m quite pleased that it was well received but as a friendly reminder and as your trusted Shoe Hostess, never accept ‘No’ for an answer. When you hear or feel the words ‘No‘ in your life, turn it around creating the words ‘Not Yet.’

No = Not Yet.

For those of you who cannot make November 8th, please reach out directly to me: and we can choose another evening to get together. In Our Shoes is why I am heading back to London. I promise to make the time to meet you either as part of a group or if even over a cup of tea, just you and me.  I’ll be available any evening from Friday November 2 through November 11.

Lastly, sharing a clip from a recent interview of someone you will meet shortly. A woman who has reinvented herself when the chips were down in this rocky economy. Meet Sandy Srebnick and hear why she chose In Our Shoes to share her story – enjoy!

For those in New York City, I will kick  off this same event in December, stay tuned!
