So, what are we going to talk about?
We’re going to spend an hour getting comfortable with self-promotion, languaging and embracing opportunities to raise your rank in business. This is what garners visibility kicking your leadership rank up a notch. I will kick it off and open the floor to answer any questions or commentary you have about what it’s like to be “in your shoes”. You can be anonymous if you wish, this is about creating an open forum for you to share what it is that’s holding you back.

For those in the US, we hope you can join us early morning or lunchtime! Our last call was a great success but unfortunately it didn’t work very well for European subscribers. So we have swapped time zones and are offering a free seminar by phone or internet at 5:30 GMT on Thursday August 30, 2012.

This the time when we tend to regroup and reassess where we want to be in the next year. I often receive a spike in emails from women reaching out during the September through November timeframe as it unofficially becomes the “find a new job / reassess my career / raise my rank” shoes they’re pursuing before January 1st rolls around again.

Last month, I indicated a partnership we made with Women in Technology located in London. This month we have garnered the attention of prestigious New York University NYU. They were excited to learn of the work we’re doing in London this November and have asked In Our Shoes to work with their London campus offering our seminars and community to their women students. New York meets London – the kind of long-distance relationship that can only get better. Love it.
