Before your feet hit the ground each morning off to the subway, tube or bus to get to work, consider at least one thing you are grateful for in your life – anything that makes you smile. I promise the universe will unfold and throw more wonderful things right back to you. It takes courage and strength to walk away from a “cookie cutter” life that society dictates. We’re here to remind you that as long as the decisions you make are in the pursuit of your happiness, you are halfway to slipping into shoes which you love both personally and professionally.

This week I am grateful for quite a few things. For all the women who have come out of the woodwork sharing how the career content, talk and work here has “struck a chord” and “hit a nerve” challenging them to take a stand for following their passions and offering to volunteer their time behind the scenes here for In Our Shoes, I am humbled.

Entering my office today, I have run into someone who has asked: “Do you ever stop smiling?”

I don’t have to tell you my answer. So they took a quick picture instead. Following my passions supporting women and doing the work that I love here at In Our Shoes , do I look like I’m ready to stop smiling?!
